The [[Art Car Wash]] is an interactive zone for art cars, art car drivers, and anyone who wants to buff their bumpers. All art cars on the playa will be invited to drive through the "wash" where other playa participants will be waiting to greet them, mock "wash" their cars, and groove to the sound of daytime disco. The Art Car Wash will consist of two rows of platforms, creating a lane which art car drivers can pass through, and filled with spinning fuzzy playa versions of the washers and wipers found in a typical car wash.<br /><br />
Our contribution to the vernacular includes [[pornj|Pornj]] and [[GlamTech|GlamTech]].


Of course they won't actually be washing the cars, but participants are welcome to bring spray bottles to mist the passengers. Ater passing through the wash, drivers will be able to park and join the fun as the music plays throughout the day. Disorient will get the wash started every day, but all other playa participants are invited to play a role with towels, misters, or just themselves.<br /><br />

Disorient has been a camp at Burning Man since 2001.

Disorient at BM 2024

In 2024 our camp was located at Esplanade & 2:15. Land dimensions were 200 ft. wide by 400 ft. deep. 2024 Black Rock City Plan
We were 164 campers. Camp planning discussion took place on this Discord channel.

Following our GlamTech mantra, D24's Urban Plan was organized around a central "spine" made of four pairs of containers. Campers' quarters were under shade structures flanking the Spine.

Our main sign installed on the Esplanade side of the Club House was the 20' tall CoSign that spelled "Di...".

It was flanked by the LithuMania Lounge, the Smile, the Urn and the Miso and Marshmallows Lounge on the 2 o'clock side and by the Hut on the other side.

A pair of Neil's Skytrackers were our beacon at night while the second pair traveled around the playa.

The Club House was the central experience space of our camp where Talks with special guest Ignite Talks on Wednesday, Amp'd Yoga, and other events were held. In 2024, a new shade system was created for this 2600 square ft. pentagonal space made of pallet racks. Our Tea House was in a separate, more private hexagonal space adjoining the main structure.

CH24 was animated with several new Puff Tech Signs and other installations from different cells within Disorient. Dozens of DJs played--mostly slow house--night and day.

The Unmed tent, our unofficial medical tent, was a destination within camp where campers and friends could relax, refresh and rejuvenate when needed. The Duke's, Disorient's speakeasy, was redesigned and augmented in 2024.

An impromptu burst of energy transported a cluster of our Pornj sofas on the other side of Esplanade where they resided for a few days before becoming a traveling installation that was deployed at Opulent Temple, our neighbor's camp, for a night. KDIS Radio Disorient broadcasted mostly during the day.

Finally, the Lantern, a new light piece created for D24, was holding space between the Club House and the Spine.
