GlamTech (Glamour and Technology, Glamorous Technologists, ...) is the style of Disorient. A brave attempt to juxtapose and deconstruct apparent opposites. GlamTech is fluid, emerging and crisp. It focuses on process and presentation.
Process is an integral part of the work, the end result is a goal that guides us by providing a vector of action which is often redefined as the art adventure unfolds. As such, GlamTech works strive to be presentable at all stages of their evolution. from birth to decrepitude. We embrace the concept of patina as we joust with space and time and explore disorienting states and contrasts. Reaching into other worlds.
Inspired by nature, software development and cut-and-paste aesthetics, we use iteration and versioning to collaboratively grow the modules of Disorient.
GlamTech was also a yearly Disorient event typically held in NYC during the first half of the Gregorian calendar. This technology gala showcased our work as a light art collective.
