Pornj Stars present
Constantly expanding horizons of collaboration, Disorient launched a new series of events in 2012 : "Pornj Stars present." PSP is an opportunity for Disorient members to create their own events within the Disorient Model (http://wiki.disorient.info/index.php?title=Disorient_Model), express themselves on a deeper level and gain new experience--all with the support of Disorient. As PSP events grow, some will hopefully graduate to become "Disorient presents" events. Think of PSP as Disorient's farm team for new event ideas (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Farm_team). PSP events are volunteer-based, and no one is paid. Any proceeds go towards growing the PSP event or funding other Disorient projects with priority to those supported by the PSP producer(s).
HOW IT WORKS
A small group of DOers (no more than 3) forms a cell, comes-up with a concept/name and finds a venue for the new event. PSP events must be low production/no hassle gigs and should not rely on a team of Disorient volunteers to be produced and managed. Three DOers should be able to put the event together by themselves--much like the first Disorient events were created a decade ago. PSP events should target a smaller crowd (probably 50-150) and focus on one particular art object/installation/concept.
WHO CAN CREATE A PSP EVENT
Every Disorient member can propose a PSP event. DOers who have shown dedication and loyalty to Disorient, with Disorient production experience and recipients of Disorient Awards will be given priority. PSP events need to be approved by the PSP Coach.

HOW TO CREATE A PSP EVENT
1. Define concept for event in 1 paragraph and come up with a name (name format: Pornj Stars present: <EVENT NAME>);
2. Find a legal venue that allows DJ music and let us stay open until 4am, i.e. bar, basement of bar or restaurant; day events OK; virgin venue always better but not imperative;
3. Put together proposed budget and proposed dates;
4. Determine Disorient assets requested (e.g. sound system, existing Disorient art);
5. Email above to PSPCoach@disorient.info for review.
Once approved by the PSP Coach, PSP events get the following support (if needed) from Disorient:
- Sound System;
- Existing Disorient Art;
- Promotion;
- Administration;
- Ticketing;
- Insurance;
- Experience;
- $500 budget.
MUSIC
Although other types of music can be considered, Disorient House++ music format applies to PSP events. That means mostly house plus a little of something else--if necessary.
