Dome

Geodesic Domes are intertwined with the history of the Disorient camp. Domes covered with video are a signature of Disorient.
A geodesic dome is an almost spherical shell structure based on a network of great circles (geodesics) lying approximately on the surface of a sphere. The geodesics intersect to form triangular elements that have local triangular rigidity and also distribute the stress across the entire structure.[1]
Disorient Dome #1 (5V - 36'diameter - 3/4"EMT)
Acquired August 2001 (Gifted by Leo and The Bass)
Cover: white
Struts, hardware and cover stored in Disorient BM container

Disorient Dome #2 "Leo" (4V - 32(?)'diameter - 1 1/2(?)" aluminum conduit)
Acquired August 2004
Gold cover (not in good shape)
Stored at Leo's studio
Disorient Dome #3 "SleepDep" (3V - 23'8"diameter - 3/4"EMT)
Acquired September 2004 (Gifted to Disorient by SleepDep)
Cover: orange tarps
Struts stored at Dock.
Notes:
- Strut count (Eye 06-10-2012) A:32 B:49 C:75
- Enough struts for 3/8 config (installed at Figment 2012), some missing struts to complete 5/8 config.
- When fabricating more struts, consider making enough to complete a 3/4 config.
- Color coding is not consistent with Desert Dome diagram. Remap to: green=yellow, purple=blue, blue=red
- Purchase hardware (bolts, nuts and washers). Until then, use Dome #4 hardware.
Disorient Dome #4 (4V - 32'diameter - 3/4"EMT)
Acquired October 8, 2010 (Gifted to Disorient by unknown - probably fabricated by Nicholas Whitaker)
