🏕️ Bedouin (Stretch) Tent Installation Guide
1. Lay Out the Tent Membrane RUBBER SIDE UP, D RINGS DOWN
• Spread the tent membrane across the desired area. • Temporarily tack down the corners with sandbags or short stakes to prevent shifting during setup.
2. Stake Anchor Points
• Install 3-foot ground stakes at a 45° angle away from the tent. (3 meters) • For high-tension zones (corners and major pull points), use a double stake and webbing V-formation for extra holding power.
3. Prep Poles
• Insert shackles into the holes at the top of each pole. • Run the tension line through: • The central shackle on the pole top, • The bilateral webbing loops on the membrane (skipping every other loop), • Then into a double-pulley system with the integrated “cockring” tension anchor, if used.
4. Raise Perimeter Poles First
• Begin lifting the outer/perimeter poles one at a time, using your pulley system to apply tension evenly. • Adjust stake lines to maintain symmetrical stretch and smooth curvature.
5. Raise Central Poles Last (with Dolly Assist)
• Once the perimeter is standing and tensioned, lift the central poles last. • Use a hand truck/dolly or lever assist to safely raise each central pole into place.
6. Final Tension & Safety Check
• Recheck all stakes and straps for proper tension. • Look for clean lines, no slack or flapping, and proper slope for rain runoff. • Walk perimeter to confirm all anchors are secure and lines are tight
