Plan for DPR at CCXiii
Based on notes from DPR at CCXii.
Before the event
- CCXiii Prod cell communicates about DPR to get the word out about plastic recycling.
- DPR cell creates poster and stickers to communicate and raise awareness at the event.
Before Wednesday
- Create a prominent central collection place next to the house for plastic items to be recycled. This must be visible and clearly labeled so everyone understands to bring their *clean* plastic items there.
Monday 11am
- Bring all the plastic collected to the DPR Lab at container camp
- Sort plastics by types (2 volunteers)
- Shred plastics by types (The Eye + 1 volunteer)
- Based on last year's outcome we project to not have enough plastic to create objects. We will still shred sorted plastics to be melted into objects in the future.
- If we do, we must heat-up shredded plastic in oven (specific temperature TBD) before pouring into mold.
