stimulate psychosomaticism, romantic yet awakened networks of emergent thought,
symbiotic flames that cast everlasting illumination,
labyrinthine geometric tesselations ... wrapped in microbiomes of emotion.

Our camp is about grounding in the now—through connection, joy, and just the right amount of weird.

By day, find shade, chill beats, massage stations and restorative elixirs at our shady chill space, where strangers become family. When night falls… well, that’s when the magic really starts. Expect spontaneous dance parties, storytelling under the stars, and interactive art installations that ask the big questions (and answer them with glitter).

We’re fully fueled by love, intention, and sensation. Whether you're stopping by for a moment or moving in for a while—if you feel it, then yes... This Must Be The Place.

Introducing the “BOOGIE DOWN LOUNGE” a Bedouin-inspired chill experience.

We’ve all been there. Feeling overwhelmed, needing a place to re-center, a place to take a breath. We welcome you to our space to have some cucumber water or a chai while listening to soothing melodic international-inspired music at the BOOGIE DOWN LOUNGE.

Under a tent in the woods, find comfort with soft pillows, comfy blankets, chill aromas, and soft lighting. Find your inner peace or just take a respite before getting back to the party. We are your hosts and welcome you to join us in this adult space.

So welcome to the BOOGIE DOWN LOUNGE, we ask you kindly remove your shoes and be mindful of the other guests. As this is a chill spot we also ask that you keep it to a whisper. Help yourself to the refreshments available. Please take with you what you bring in.

 

SWEAT AND SALO - BANYA TIME 

Comrade! Step into our Ex-Soviet dreamscape—where the vodka flows, the Eastern European beers are cold, and the snacks are as strange as they are delicious. Think black bread, salo, smoked fish, and other funky bites pulled straight from an ’80s Eastern Bloc bash. Come have an experience!!

Throw on your finest velour track suits, your animal print jumpsuits, your best party spirit and let’s squat Together!
Bring your bathing suit (or not!) and get in the banya. Afterwards grab a cocktail an savor a salty snack while the soundtrack slaps.

FLYING: We recommend flying into Newark-EWR and renting a car from the airport. For this option expect 2 ½ hours of

==GENERAL INFO==
* There is no vending at Country Club, and no vending is allowed. Bring everything you need for survival and
well-being including shade, food and water. There are no showers on site, feel free to bring your solar shower. 

* You may bring your pets but please be mindful of them, as there are coyotes in the area. Most of the camping site is
in the woods. 

* Country Club is minimally RV friendly. Limited number of RV passes available. The site does not offer RV
hookups. 

* This is a LEAVE NO TRACE event. This means, leave the place you visit the same or better than you found it. Bring
trash bags, and take your trash with you when you leave. 

* All children will require a ticket. 

* Disorient is a volunteer-run art collective. 

* Disorient has very few rules, but two require declaration and elaboration: 
1. Respect personal boundaries. 
2. Take responsibility for your own experience. 
The interplay of these two rules forms a social contract that makes our events safe places to explore your own
boundaries while encouraging respect for each other. Talk to those around you about anything that makes you
uncomfortable.

Walk along a pitch black path until you get to a viewing stand, where flashlights are dangling, waiting for you to shine them into the darkness. Instantly a intensely bright gallery of art pops up, reflecting beautiful mandala and nature scenes.

* There is no vending at Country Club, and no vending is allowed. Bring everything you need for survival and
well-being including shade, food and water. There are no showers on site, feel free to bring your solar shower. 

* You may bring your pets but please be mindful of them, as there are coyotes in the area. Most of the camping site is
in the woods. 

* Country Club is minimally RV friendly. Limited number of RV passes available. The site does not offer RV
hookups. 

* This is a LEAVE NO TRACE event. This means, leave the place you visit the same or better than you found it. Bring
trash bags, and take your trash with you when you leave. 

* All children will require a ticket. 

* Disorient is a volunteer-run art collective. 

* Disorient has very few rules, but two require declaration and elaboration: 
1. Respect personal boundaries. 
2. Take responsibility for your own experience. 
The interplay of these two rules forms a social contract that makes our events safe places to explore your own
boundaries while encouraging respect for each other. Talk to those around you about anything that makes you
uncomfortable.

An invitation to explore recognition of the self similar repeating patterns that create the conditioned phenomena available to experience in this world. A flexibility and rigor to recognize and interact with the apparent superstructures, finding skillful ways through, with, past and beyond.
For this theme we are exploring coherence/decoherence, omniinterregulated structuring, hot swapping capable DNA sequencers, Japanese metabolism architects, Drop City, torus knot topopolis warehouse massives, chronostasis cowboys, Vector Equilibrium jitterbugging, subtle harmonic benders, newly apparent aperiodic monotile tessellations, holobiant upgrades through groove transpositionists.

Sisyphus was an ancient Greek king who angered the gods by cheating death. His punishment was to push a giant boulder up a mountain in Hades, only to watch it roll back down every time it neared the summit. Sisyphus 2.0 concentrates that struggle into a playful yet challenging interactive game. The six-foot steel sphere twinkles in the darkness. Two tones follow two rhythms. By turning the sphere, participants control the sounds and bring the tones into synch. Roll the ball. Unlock the puzzle. Dance to the music. Repeat. Startling in its simplicity, the work speaks directly to our very human experience of trial and error and measured success, achieved by deep listening and coordinating efforts among a group of players.

* There is no vending at Country Club, and no vending is allowed. Bring everything you need for survival and well-being including shade, food and water. There are no showers on site, feel free to bring your solar shower. 

* You may bring your pets but please be mindful of them, as there are coyotes in the area. Most of the camping site is in the woods. 

* Country Club is minimally RV friendly. Limited number of RV passes available. The site does not offer RV hookups. 

* This is a LEAVE NO TRACE event. This means, leave the place you visit the same or better than you found it. Bring trash bags, and take your trash with you when you leave. 

* Children over the age of 9 will require a ticket. 

* Disorient is a volunteer-run art collective. 

* Disorient has very few rules, but two require declaration and elaboration: 
1. Respect personal boundaries. 
2. Take responsibility for your own experience.

==Disorient ecosystem==

When we are not on the Playa, we organize [[Events|events]], retreats and happenings to raise funds for our art projects on and off playa and support Burning Man. 100% of profit is reinvested in Disorient. 
Those include [[Country Club]] (since 2011) upstate New York, [[Bedouin Tech|Bedouin Tech]] (2014-2018) in the desert of Dubai and [[Fun_Tsang|Fun Tsang]] (since 2016) on the beach of a tiny uninhabited tropical island of Hong Kong. Those outdoor camping retreats last several days and are aligned with the Burning Man ethos. In September 2021 we organized the first [[Disorient_Bali_presents:_BURNING_MANTAP|Burning Mantap]] in Bali, Indonesia.

Your senses will be engaged by a variety of delights, including projection, music, flora, lights, elixirs, and other treats. This experience is designed to create an ethereal outpost within an outpost that invites you to connect with nature up close and far away. Join us for a special ritual on Friday and Saturday night, where we will deepen our connection with ourselves and our environment. This will be a multi-sensory experience where you can explore the transformative qualities of nature.

Otherworldly Transformations 
insect flights and otherworldy transformations is a 3D sound sculpture that acts as a giant antenna for a theremin within. This theremin is also a light hanging in the center of the sculpture itself mirroring the shape of the structure that contains it. It attracts humans and bugs. And can be played, reflecting human electromagnetic energies in quitet high pitched tones reflecting the insect world. It’s many faceted dome, reflecting the facets of their eyes. During the opening week at kochi the artist will come and play selected pieces in the sculpture to create a sound sphere environment for visitors on the inside, further contextualizing and activating the sound sphere. Dedicated to the flies, the mosquitoes and the wasps. Buzz buzz Three re-interpretations of “Fight of the Bumble-Bee” by Rimsky Korsakov. More about the music: In “The Tale of Tsar Sultan, The Great Bogatyr, and the Swan-Princess” the Bogatyr Gvidon is turned into sometimes a fly, then mosquito, then bumble-bee, and surely other countless variations on a series of insects, but a famous opera song has only been written for the bumble-bee sequence. Many of us are familiar with "Flight of the Bumble Bee" but what most of us don't know is it's not a composition about a bumble bee, it's a composition about a magical being "neither male nor female" according to Pushkin's version, who turns into a bumble bee to go fly from their liminal land of wonders to the kingdom of their birth to spy on their father who is being held prisoner by an evil witch who is also their grandmother. The bumble-bee is their third transformation, the first or second one was a mosquito (and the other a fly). There's an amazing rendition of the space the flies fly through through in the movies Night Watch and Day Watch. Though unlike director Timur Bekmambetov I was always taken with the mosquitoes. Flies carry disease, pestilence, dysentery, plague. Mosquitoes suck our blood, and carry Malaria, DengueI, Zika, West Nile, and other viruses. Wasps, while being important pollinators have a powerful stinger and evoke visceral fear in us humans. In “The Tale of Tsar Sultan, The Great Bogatyr, and the Swan-Princess”, transformation into insects is used to travel between the three and thirty kingdoms. It is said that birds travel between the realms, but I like this insect strain, they feel more other-worldy. Opening a rift through liminal space. Listen to them buzz around the sound-sphere and create your own buzzing with the metal itself.

* Country Club is minimally RV friendly. Limited number of RV passes available. The site does not offer RV hookups. 

* This is a LEAVE NO TRACE event. This means, leave the place you visit the same or better than you found it. Bring trash bags, and take your trash with you when you leave. 

* Children over the age of 9 will require a ticket. 

* Disorient is a volunteer-run art collective. 

* Disorient has very few rules, but two require declaration and elaboration:

For this theme we are exploring coherence/decoherence, omniinterregulated structuring, hot swapping capable DNA sequencers, Japanese metabolism architects, Drop City, torus knot topopolis warehouse massives, chronostasis cowboys, Vector Equilibrium jitterbugging, subtle harmonic benders, newly apparent aperiodic monotile tessellations, holobiant upgrades through groove transpositionists.

Sisyphus was an ancient Greek king who angered the gods by cheating death. His punishment was to push a giant boulder up a mountain in Hades, only to watch it roll back down every time it neared the summit. Sisyphus 2.0 concentrates that struggle into a playful yet challenging interactive game. The six-foot steel sphere twinkles in the darkness. Two tones follow two rhythms. By turning the sphere, participants control the sounds and bring the tones into synch. Roll the ball. Unlock the puzzle. Dance to the music. Repeat. Startling in its simplicity, the work speaks directly to our very human experience of trial and error and measured success, achieved by deep listening and coordinating efforts among a group of players.

Sisyphus was an ancient Greek king who angered the gods by cheating death. His punishment was to push a giant boulder up a mountain in Hades, only to watch it roll back down every time it neared the summit. Sisyphus 2.0 concentrates that struggle into a playful yet challenging interactive game. The six-foot steel sphere twinkles in the darkness. Two tones follow two rhythms. By turning the sphere, participants control the sounds and bring the tones into synch. Roll the ball. Unlock the puzzle. Dance to the music. Repeat. Startling in its simplicity, the work speaks directly to our very human experience of trial and error and measured success, achieved by deep listening and coordinating efforts among a group of players.

* Country Club is minimally RV friendly. Limited number of RV passes available. The site does not offer RV hookups. 

* This is a LEAVE NO TRACE event. This means, leave the place you visit the same or better than you found it. Bring trash bags, and take your trash with you when you leave. 

* Children over the age of 9 will require a ticket. 

* Disorient is a volunteer-run art collective.

For this theme we are exploring coherence/decoherence, omniinterregulated structuring, hot swapping capable DNA sequencers, Japanese metabolism architects, Drop City, torus knot topopolis warehouse massives, chronostasis cowboys, Vector Equilibrium jitterbugging, subtle harmonic benders, newly apparent aperiodic monotile tessellations, holobiant upgrades through groove transpositionists.

Disorient Country Club 2022 Theme: ASTRODYNAMICA 
ASTRODYNAMICA: branch of astronomy that studies the motion of natural and artificial bodies in space. For this theme we are exploring retrofuturist intermodulation, planispheres, objects of orbit, imagined mars colonization via 1960s mainframes, real and artificial moons, satellite dish mania, LED and incandescent light, MASERS/LASERS, extra planetary survivalist built structures, programmer heroics, accelerationism, swarm technology, cross discipline dreaming.

During the summer we see the winter sky at night, the concept is to create one of the night visible constellations within the Star Gate with a shamanic journey activating the star portal of Fomalhaut - the star that represents the voice of humanity. It is like being inside an astrolabe. Sadamelik and Ancha Aquarius conjoin Enif of Pegasus, Fomalhaut of Piscis Australis, and Deneb of Cygnu. All are humanitarian and visionary stars. Aquarium, the humanitarian water bearer nourishes the body of humanity which is articulated by Pisces Australis and embodies the essence of human society. Fomalhaut of Piscis Australis is the fish's mouth into which the nourishing Aquarian waters flow, and through which humanity speaks. Therefore the star Fomalhaut represents the voice of humanity. People with prominent placement with Fomalhaut have a need to speak for humanity as a whole and about humanity's fundamental needs. They seek ways to sculpt an evolved universal human society, one free from segregation. These stories will be carved into the piece, swirling in with the punctured star-gazing portals incorporating the movements of the night sky to the stories within. Star Gate is an observatory, a space ship, that never leaves the ground.

Our event takes place near Shandaken, NY, 2 ½ hours north of NYC.
We will release the exact location the week of the event.

FLYING: We recommend flying into Newark-EWR and renting a car from the airport. For this option expect 2 ½ hours of drivetime up. Alternatively, fly into Albany-ALB- with a 1 ½ hour drive to gate.

There is no vending at Country Club, and no vending is allowed. Bring everything you need for survival and well-being including shade, food and water. There are no showers on site, feel free to bring your solar shower.
You may bring your pets but please be mindful of them, as there are coyotes in the area. Most of the camping site is in the woods. 
Country Club is minimally RV friendly. Limited number of RV passes available. The site does not offer RV hookups.
This is a LEAVE NO TRACE event. This means, leave the place you visit the same or better than you found it. Bring trash bags, and take your trash with you when you leave. 

Children over the age of 9 will require a ticket.

==Disorient ecosystem==

When we are not on the Playa, we organize [[Events|events]], retreats and happenings to raise funds for our art projects on and off playa and support Burning Man. 100% of profit is reinvested in Disorient. 
Those include [[Country Club]] (since 2011) upstate New York, [[Bedouin Tech|Bedouin Tech]] (2014-2018) in the desert of Dubai and [[Fun_Tsang|Fun Tsang]] (since 2016) on the beach of a tiny uninhabited tropical island of Hong Kong. Those outdoor camping retreats last several days and are aligned with the Burning Man ethos. In September 2021 we organized the first [[Disorient_Bali_presents:_BURNING_MANTAP|Burning Mantap]] in Bali, Indonesia.

Started in 2011, Disorient Country Club is deep chilling with Disorient. 

Everyone's welcome during a few days and nights of off-the-grid relaxation where blissful self-reliance meets massive multiplayer participation. It’s a blank canvas for music, art and performance, where every host is our guest, and every guest is our host. Create your own art and interactivity and join the Club! 

On the last night we burn a version, different each time, of [[Geodesic Temple|Geodesic Temple]]. We add one octahedron every year: in 2011 we started with 1 octahedron, in 2012 we burned 2, etc. 

Country Club is pure [[Pornj|Pornj]].
