There’s no push and play DJ here. No expected scratching or loud microphone stylings. With over 19 years behind his decks, D.J. Reda is known for his mastery of addictive, deep house rhythms. Whether you’re looking to set a specific tone, lift a crowd to new heights, or deepen a brand experience, D.J. Reda will support your vision and tailor the beats accordingly.
From New York to Brazil, Miami and Dubai, D.J. Reba spins at some of the most sought after events, private and public. Private events have included Veuve Cliquot, Grey Goose Vodka and World Cup after party to name a few, while he’s played at a range of festivals including BPM in Mexico and Love that Fever, one of New York City’s top music and dance events.
Keen to give-back and support causes close to his heart, D.J. Reda recently released “Life is a dance kid”, a compilation created to raise awareness and funds for the organization Village 2 Village supporting orphans in Uganda, Africa, along with “Silk Road”, a collection created to fund the rebuilding of schools in Afghanistan.
Ever focused on evolving his sound, D.J. Reda is currently also performing with voice of Andre Mistier of The Adversary. The experience of seeing the two performing is anything but ordinary as this pair’s approach is unexpected and riveting. Initially as you dance and mingle, you might not notice the presence of the live vocals, so perfectly are they blended into the mix. But as the intensity of the music and the night swells —so does the powerful pull of the vocals; until you, and everyone else, feels like you’re personally invited deeper into the music.
When it comes to his studio sets and remixes, Reda keeps things lively. He has a natural ability to engage audiences; evident if you’ve ever seen him spin: ‘I Am Beautiful’ and ‘2 Suns’. Both are deep tech-house tracks with progressive spiced riffs. Then again the layered, uplifting vocals on 'A Beacon of Light' are a crowd favorite.
A worldly traveler who is now based out of New York City, Reda was born in French Algiers and raised in Paris. He credits his ability to marry multi-layered beats and unaffiliated artists into a unified sound to his early exposure to diverse musical influences and formats. Formats that included tribal percussions, pumping rhythms, pulsing beats and thumping grooves.
